註: (a)考生在中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績，分為二級、一級或不及格，當中以二級為最高等級。香港高級程度會考英語運用科C級或以上和D級成績 (或同等成績) ，會分別獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的二級和一級成績。香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化科、中國語言文學或中國語文科C級或以上和D級成績，則會分别獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的二級和一級成績。在International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 學術模式整體分級取得 6.5 或以上，而在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6 的申請人，在IELTS 考試成績的兩年有效期内，其 IELTS 成績可視作符合救護主任職位的英文能力要求。IELTS 考試成績必須在職位開始接受申請的首天 (即2010年5月28日) 仍然有效。持有學位的申請人如在獲發聘書時持有綜合招聘考試英文運用及中文運用兩張試卷所需的成績，或同等成績，便符合資格獲取學位持有人的起薪點。(b)政府在聘任公務員時，過往香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科(課程乙) C 級與E 級成績，在行政上會分別視為等同2007年或之後香港中學會考中國語文科和英國語文科第三等級與第二等級成績。(c) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣，所有公務員職位的招聘，均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。應徵者如獲邀參加最後面試(第一部份)，會被安排於面試當日接受基本法知識筆試。應徵者在基本法知識測試的表現，會用作評核其整體表現的其中一個考慮因素。
職責: 救護主任主要奉派 (1)主管救護站；(2) 為救護員提供訓練；(3) 領導並指揮救護員在緊急情況下提供送院前護理服務及執行救護職務；(4) 參與部門行政工作，例如人事管理、策劃等職務；以及 (5) 執行緊急召喚工作。【註：須受紀律約束，並須輪班工作，擔當候命職務及在工作時穿著制服。】
聘用條款: 新聘的救護主任會按當時適用的試用條款受聘，試用期為三年。如在試用期工作表現令人滿意，試用期滿後可轉為按當時適用的長期聘用條款受聘。在通過試用╱試任關限的規定前，獲聘任的救護主任須(a) 在初級訓練課程結業試及格；(b) 在試用╱試任期間，通過多項能力鑑定考試；(c) 在確實聘任前通過體能測驗；(d) 持有有效的消防駕駛執照；以及(e)入職薪酬、聘用條款及服務條件，應以獲聘時的規定為準。
福利: 附帶福利包括有薪假期、醫療及牙科診療。在適當情況下，公務員更可獲得房屋資助。

Entry Requirements: （1）have a degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 1 results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) Note (a), or equivalent; ($27,155 per month) or have a degree from a Hong Kong university, or an accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or a Higher Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic/Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education / technical college, or a Diploma from a registered post-secondary college issued after the date of its registration, or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) Note (b), or equivalent; ($25,620 per month) or have a pass in 2 subjects at Advanced Level in the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination and Level 3/Grade C or above in 3 other subjects in HKCEE (the subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language), or equivalent; and have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKCEE Note (b), or equivalent. Notes: (a) Candidates' results in Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE) papers are classified as Level 2, Level 1 or Fail, with 'Level 2 being the highest. Grade C or above and Grade D in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), or equivalent, are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 and Level 1 results respectively in the UE paper of the CRE. Grade C or above and Grade D in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the HKALE are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 and Level 1 results respectively in the UC paper of the CRE. Candidates with an overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test are considered as having met the English language proficiency requirement of the Ambulance Officer post. (b) For civil service appointment purpose, Grade C and Grade E in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to Level 3 and Level 2 respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in HKCEE of 2007 or thereafter.(c) For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Duties: An Ambulance Officer is mainly deployed on (1) taking charge of an ambulance depot; (2) providing training for Ambulanceman/Ambulancewoman; (3) commanding and leading Ambulanceman/Ambulancewoman in emergency to carry out pre-hospital care service and ambulance duties; (4) taking part in administrative duties such as staff management and planning duties; and (5) attending emergency calls. [Note: Subject to discipline; and is required to work shifts, perform "on-call" duties and wear uniform.]
Terms of Appointment: New recruits will be appointed on prevailing probationary terms for 3 years and may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
