入職條件:	(1) 學歷要求： 具備香港中學會考五科達二級(註a)╱E級或以上的成績，或同等學歷； [(1)項所述的五個科目可包括中國語文科及英國語文科。] (2) 符合語文能力要求，具備香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科二級或以上的成績，或在其他考試取得同等成績； (3) 英文打字測試及格，即每分鐘達30個字或以上；以及 (4) 能操流利粵語及英語。 [註： (i) 申請人如能操普通話，是一項有利的條件。 (ii) 申請人如持有有效的香港駕駛執照，是一項有利的條件。 (iii) 申請人須接受能力傾向測試。 (iv) 申請人在本職位截止接受申請當天(即2011年1月17日)，必須已經取得所需的學歷資格。 (v) 只有初步入選的申請人才會獲邀接受電腦打字測試。打字測試及格者將獲邀參加面試。]

職責:	消防隊目(控制)須接受訓練及主要負責以中英文處理控制室和調派的工作。須受紀律約束，並須輪班當值及穿著制服。
聘用條款:	(1) 新聘的消防隊目(控制) 會按當時適用的試用條款受聘，試用期為三年。如在試用期工作表現令人滿意，試用期滿後可轉為按當時適用的長期聘用條款受聘。 (2) 在通過試用關限之前，獲聘任的消防隊目(控制)必須(a) 在完成基本訓練課程後考試及格；以及(b) 工作表現和操守令人滿意。
福利:	附帶福利包括有薪假期、醫療及牙科診療。在適當情況下，公務員更可獲得房屋資助。

Entry Requirements:	(1) have : Level 2 (Note a) /Grade E or above in five subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent; (The five subjects in HKCEE in (1) above may include Chinese Language and English Language.) (2) meet the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKCEE, or equivalent; (3) pass a typing test in English at the speed of 30 words or above per minute; and; (4) be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English. [Note: (i) Able to speak Putonghua is an advantage. (ii) Possessing a valid Hong Kong driving licence is an advantage. (iii) Candidates will be required to attend an aptitude test. (iv) By the closing day of the application period (i.e. 17.1.2011), applicants must possess the relevant academic qualifications set out above. (v) Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a computer typing test. Candidates pass the typing test will be invited for interview.]
Note:	(a) For civil service appointment purpose, Grade 'C' and Grade 'E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 3' and 'Level 2' respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in HKCEE of 2007 or thereafter. (b) For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and promoting a culture of learning of BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Candidates who are invited to attend the typing test will be assessed on their BL knowledge through a writing test on the same day. The BL test result will be one of the considerations to assess the suitability of a candidate.
Duties:	A Senior Fireman/Firewoman (Control) is required to undergo training and mainly deployed on performing control room and mobilizing duties, using English and Chinese. He/She will be subject to discipline and be required to work shifts and wear uniform.
Terms of Appointment:	(1) New recruits will be appointed on prevailing probationary terms for 3 years and may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period. (2) Before passage of probation bar, appointees should (a) pass an examination at the conclusion of an initial training course; and (b) have satisfactory performance and conduct.
