(b)符合語文能力的要求,即在綜合招聘考試兩張語文試卷取得「二級」成績(該兩張試卷分別為中文運用及英文運用),或具備同等成績。[參閱註(1)至(4)] 

申請人須具責任感、積極進取和熱心工作;品格良好、為人正直;有志於教育服務;以及能以中、英文有效溝通。
註: (1) 綜合招聘考試中文運用及英文運用試卷的成績分為「二級」、「一級」或「不及格」,並以「二級」為最高等級。 
(2) 香港高級程度會考中國語文及文化、中國語言文學或中國語文科「C」級或以上的成績會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試中文運用試卷的「二級」成績。香港高級程度會考英語運用科或General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) 考試英文科「C」級或以上的成績會獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」成績。 
(3) 在International English Language Testing System (IELTS)學術模式整體分級取得6.5或以上,並在同一次考試中各項個別分級取得不低於6的成績的人士,在考試成績的兩年有效期內,其IELTS成績可獲接納為等同綜合招聘考試英文運用試卷的「二級」成績。有關成績必須在職位接受申請的首天(即二零一三年九月二十一日)仍然有效。 
(4) 申請人若現時並沒有所需綜合招聘考試成績,或同等成績,但已報名參加在二零一三年十月五日在香港舉行的綜合招聘考試也可申請,其申請只會在他們於上述考試取得所需成績後方獲處理。 
(5) 為提高大眾對《基本法》的認知和在社區推廣學習《基本法》的風氣,所有公務員職位的招聘,均會包括《基本法》知識的評核。申請人在基本法測試(學位╱專業程度職系)的表現會繼續佔其整體表現的一個適當比重。然而,該測試的成績並不會影響其申請以上職位的資格。原則上,申請人的學歷、經驗和才能仍然是考慮其是否適合獲聘用的主要因素。
職責: 助理教育主任主要負責以下職務: 
(a) 任教官立中學的中六及以下班級; 
(b) 擔任班主任; 
(c) 籌辦及推行課外活動; 
(d) 評核及記錄學生成績;以及 
(e) 協助處理校內的特別職務、行政工作及非教學職務,例如編訂學校課程、推行公民教育╱德育╱性教育、處理學校訓育工作、提供學生輔導和升學及就業輔導,以及協助舉行校內╱公開考試等。 

[備註:本局會根據官立中學不時調整的運作需要及獲取錄人員個別的學歷和經驗,調派他們任教指定科目。他們或須任教並非其在申請書內指明的科目。]
聘用條款: 獲取錄的申請人會按公務員試用條款受聘三年。通過試用關限後,可獲考慮按當時適用的長期聘用條款聘用。
附註: (a) 除另有指明外,申請人於獲聘時必須已成為香港特別行政區永久性居民。 
(b) 有關頂薪點的資料只供參考,日後或會有所更改。 
(c) 獲取錄人員如未持有由香港專上教育機構頒授的教育證書或同等學歷,須受薪酬關限限制。持有由香港專上教育機構頒授的教育證書或同等學歷者,其入職薪級為總薪級表第17點。

(f) 政府的政策,是盡可能安排殘疾人士擔任適合的職位。殘疾人士申請職位,如符合入職條件,毋須再經篩選,便會獲邀參加遴選面試。 
(g) 已參加資助或官立學校教師提早退休計劃者,其應徵助理教育主任職位的申請將不獲受理。 
(h) 將於二零一四年夏季應考畢業試的學士學位課程學生,或將於二零一四年九月前獲香港專上教育機構頒授學位教師教育證書的學位持有人,亦可應徵。他們應在申請書內註明在通過畢業試後將會取得的學歷;如獲取錄,亦須取得有關學歷,才可獲聘。 
(i) 公務員職位是公務員編制內的職位。應徵者如獲聘用,將按公務員聘用條款和服務條件聘用,並成為公務員。 
(j) 入職薪酬、聘用條款及服務條件,應以獲聘時的規定為準。 
(k) 附帶福利包括有薪假期、醫療及牙科福利。在適當情況下,公務員更可獲得房屋資助。 
(l) 截止申請日期臨近時,網上申請系統可能需要處理大量申請而非常繁忙。申請人應盡早遞交申請,以確保在限期前於網上完成申請程序。 
(m) 教育局會嚴格按照其個人資料政策使用應徵者所提供的個人資料,並會按要求立即提供有關資料的複本。

填妥的申請書須連同用以證明各項相關學歷(例如學位、師資培訓、語文能力水平及綜合招聘考試成績)的證書及成績單的影印本,於截止申請日期或之前送達香港灣仔皇后大道東213號胡忠大廈16樓1636室教育局聘用室。如以郵寄方式提交申請,申請日期以郵戳所示者為準。逾期提交的申請將不獲受理。 

申請人須在申請書上清楚註明所申請的職位(例如「助理教育主任 (數學)」),以及修讀學位課程及師資培訓課程時(視何者適用而定)主修及副修的科目。有意應徵超過一個職位的申請人,須就所申請的職位逐一提交申請。此外,信封面上須註明「應徵助理教育主任職位」。

Job Title: Assistant Education Officer (Mathematics)
Salary: Master Pay Scale Point 15 (HK$24,450 per month) to Master Pay Scale Point 33 (HK$56,810 per month). [See General Notes (b) and (c)]
Entry Requirements: Candidates should have - 
(a)(i) a Hong Kong bachelor's degree majoring in the relevant subject discipline, or equivalent; or 
(a)(ii) a degree (majoring in the relevant subject discipline) other than that specified in (a)(i) above, plus a postgraduate certificate in education, or equivalent, from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution; and 
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of 'Level 2' results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent [See Notes (1) to (4)]. 

Candidates should be responsible, self-motivated and enthusiastic; have a fine character and integrity; be committed to serve in the education field; and be able to communicate effectively in Chinese and English.
Note: (1) The results of the Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE) papers in the CRE are classified as 'Level 2', 'Level 1' or 'Fail', with 'Level 2' being the highest. 
(2) Grade 'C' or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) is accepted as equivalent to 'Level 2' result in the UC paper of the CRE. Grade 'C' or above in Use of English of the HKALE, or English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level), is accepted as equivalent to 'Level 2' result in the UE paper of the CRE. 
(3) Applicants with an overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period of the test is accepted as equivalent to 'Level 2' result in the UE paper of the CRE. The IELTS test result must be valid on the starting day of the application period, i.e. 21 September 2013. 
(4) Applicants who do not possess the requisite CRE results, or equivalent, but have filed an application for the coming CRE to be held on 5 October 2013 in Hong Kong may also apply. Their applications will be processed subject to their obtaining the requisite CRE results in the aforesaid examination. 
(5) For the purpose of heightening public awareness of the Basic Law (BL) and promoting a culture of learning of the BL in the community, assessment of BL knowledge will be included in the recruitment for all civil service jobs. Under the prevailing practice, results of the BL test for degree/professional grades will constitute an appropriate weighting in a candidate's overall assessment. However, the result will not affect a candidate's eligibility for applying for the above post. As a general principle, the main consideration for suitability for appointment remains a candidate's qualification, experience and calibre.
Duties: Assistant Education Officers are mainly deployed on the following types of duties – 
(a) to engage in class teaching up to Secondary 6 level in a government secondary school; 
(b) to be a Class Master/Mistress; 
(c) to organize and conduct extra-curricular activities; 
(d) to assess and to record students' attainment; and 
(e) to assist in the performance of special responsibilities, administrative work and non-teaching duties of the school, such as school curriculum development, civil/moral/sex education, school discipline, student counseling, career guidance, school/public examinations, etc. 

[Remarks : The Bureau, in deploying a successful candidate to a particular subject, will take into account the operational needs of government secondary schools that may be adjusted from time to time and the candidate's qualification and experience. A successful candidate may be required to teach subjects other than those he/she has indicated in his/her application.]
Terms of Appointment: A new appointee will be appointed on civil service probationary terms for three years. Upon passage of probation bar, he/she may be considered for appointment on the prevailing permanent terms.
General Notes: (a) Candidates must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at the time of appointment unless specified otherwise. 
(b) The information on the maximum pay point is for reference only and may be subject to changes. 
(c) There is a salary bar for officers without a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution or equivalent. Officers with a certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution, or equivalent, will enter at MPS Point 17.

(g) Those who have participated in the Early Retirement Scheme for aided or government school teachers will NOT be considered for appointment to the Assistant Education Officer posts. 
(h) Final year students taking their final degree examination in summer of 2014 or degree holders who expect to obtain a postgraduate certificate in education from a Hong Kong tertiary education institution before September 2014 may also apply. They should state in their applications the qualifications they would attain on completion of their final examination. If selected, their appointments will be subject to their obtaining the requisite qualifications. 
(i) Civil service vacancies are posts on the civil service establishment. Candidates selected for these vacancies will be appointed on civil service terms of appointment and conditions of service and will become civil servants on appointment. 
(j) The entry pay, terms of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions prevailing at the time the offer of appointment is made. 
(k) Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical and dental benefits, and where appropriate, assistance in housing.

Completed application forms, together with photocopies of certificates and transcripts in support of all relevant qualifications attained (e.g. degree, teacher training, language proficiency level and CRE results), should reach the Appointments Registry, Education Bureau, Room 1636, 16/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong, on or before the closing date for application. For application by post, the date of the postmark will be regarded as the date of application. Late applications will NOT be accepted.
