Office :

Cluster Procurement & Materials Management Unit, New Territories West Cluster (NTWC)



Pay :

HK$10,716 to HK$16,683 (HGPS Pt. 2 – Pt. 9) per month (including Monthly Allowance)



Job :

Perform basic clerical duties under supervision. The typical duties include:



1.


To assist Hospital Administrator to provide procurement and materials management service to Hospital.

2.


To perform procurement functions including product sourcing, price research, purchase requisition, tender administration and commitment monitoring.

3.


To discharge materials management functions and asset management duties.

4.


To ensure supplies logistics objectives and key performance indicators are met.

5.


To prepare projections and operational reports for review by the Hospital Management.

6.


To support general administration, filing and record keeping.

7.


To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements :

1.


Passes in 5 subjects in the HKCEE, including English Language (Syl. B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent.

2.


Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing.

Preferable Attributes/Exposure :

1.


Hands-on experience in supplies system.

2.


Good coordination and communication skills.

3.


Possession with Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain Management is preferable.

4.


Good computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications.

5.


Self-motivated with strong sense of responsibility.

6.


Proactive and able to work independently.

Remarks :

For Serving HA Staff

1.


Serving staff who do not meet the academic requirements but with 2 years clerical experience within HA may also be considered.

2.


Selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 2 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity. Serving permanent employee will be offered fixed term appointment after which the employment may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank.

The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employee upon changes in appointment will be made in accordance with prevailing policies

4.


VNC for Cat III posts are advertised within own hospital. If no suitable candidate is selected from the hospital where the vacancy arises, the vacant position will be open to all staff within the HA. This post is advertised simultaneously in all HA hospitals in order to gain economy of time.

For External Applicants

Selected candidate will be offered contract terms for 2 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory completion of contract.

Upon commencement of the job, the selected candidate will be enrolled in a compulsory study program fully sponsored by the hospital. A Deed of Undertaking on the compulsory study program will be signed with the hospital.
